The painting operation was pretty interesting becouse I hadn't painted a whole car before. The painting itself took place in my friends garage where they had painted some cars earlier. Actually this was the first time my friend Mika ever painted a car by himself. Usually it had been his father who took care of the spraying. It took a couple of days to sandpaper the car and fill in all the little holes and bumps with plastic padding. Then all the windows and such were sealed with newspaper and tape. Beige primer was sprayed on the car and some of the smallest holes that we had missed were now smoothened with extra bondo. The final color is from a new Alfa Romeo, volcano black or something like that. A metallic black with golden flakes making the black color turn into bronze in direct sunlight. We finished the paintjob by spraying 4-5 layers of clearcoating on it. Some spills can be found but I'm pretty pleased with the result. Anyway it was the first time we painted a car and the weather was a bit too cold for the job too..
